I’m not sure about everyone else, but over the past few days, I’ve found myself in a “funk”. Maybe it’s the cold weather. Yes, I realize that we can’t complain because we’re not in the sub-zero temperatures here in SW Florida. However, it has been cold here, and this weekend we will be even colder. It has me in a mood to just grab my coffee and curl up with a blanket 🙂 . My normal mood of “Ok, let’s get it done”, ya, not so much these past few days. I have things on my to-do list that I’m dreading, other things that are easy, but don’t have me thrilled, you get the idea.

Those days when we’re not “with it,” so to speak, I think they are the days when we have to lean into the Lord with more purpose. We have to ask Him to help us refocus, come into our hearts, and show us the way back to center. If we don’t recenter with Him, it’s easy to let that funk take us deeper into darkness, and before we know it, satan is dancing in our heads.

So, if you are like me and have been in a funk, let’s call it a winter funk, then take some time before your day begins this morning and talk with Jesus. Ask Him to brighten your mood, help you to see the glorious gifts He gives, and recenter you for a better day. Ask Him to give you the focus and the energy to accomplish what is before you today. Together, with our Lord, ya, He will pull us out of the funk.
