Over the last few weeks, I’ve noticed something during the night. I think I’ve mentioned before that I’m a pretty light sleeper, although that has improved, thank goodness. Anyway, recently, when I wake up in the evening, maybe a bathroom trip, for instance, I find I have a song playing in my head. It’s not the same tune, it varies, but what I’ve realized is that it’s usually a song from my Christian playlist.
This morning I was thinking about it, because last night was one of those nights when I got up and found myself playing one of those songs in my head. I wonder, is it Father just reminding me that He is there? Seems silly, I guess, but I’m not sure why else these tunes would be on repeat in my head. I wasn’t even listening to that playlist yesterday. I know that the Lord is always with me, but maybe this is just a subtle reminder, or maybe it’s just me making it one.
It’s always nice to feel His presence, to know that we’re not alone. Songs about His love, well, they have a wonderful way of reminding us that even through the darkest of times, He is always there.
So, I’ll just keep letting those tunes play in my head, even when I’m not listening to them live. I’m sharing the song from last night with you here. The title is East to West, and it’s performed by Casting Crowns; you can carry the tune with you today as well 🙂 .
Have a good day, everyone, and remember, the Lord is with us always, He will never forsake us, and He always wins!
Matthew 28:19-20
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
