Thank you all for your prayers yesterday. I came to this little blog asking for prayers for some special people, and as always, you did not disappoint. We’re waiting for some test results for Martha, so a treatment plan can be finalized. Keep those prayers coming for clear information on next steps. Pips, well, he came through his procedure like a champ and was home before dark 🙂 . Thank you again and again for your prayers.
As I read text messages and comments yesterday saying you were lifting prayers, one stood out to me. It was a comment from a friend of mine that read, “Got it. Prayer is our source of strength for the wait”. There is so much truth in those words. Prayer is not only powerful, but it is indeed a source of strength for us here in this world.
I would also offer that Faith is just as important as prayer when it comes to the strength we have in this world. Our faith in Jesus and His return, that is what guides our prayer, in my opinion. What is important is that we actively use these strengths in our everyday lives.
With the faith that we have in Christ and His return, and the power of prayer at our disposal, how can we best use them every day to help others? When I think about Jesus’ triumphant return, I can’t help but smile and wonder what that day will be like. Then I wonder, will I be ready to answer His question of what I did while here in this world to bring others closer to Him?
I believe our focus each day should be prayer for others, for healing, strength, and comfort. Then, show the faith we have in Christ through actions; lend a hand, share a smile, give to those in need, and love others as He loves us. Simple deeds can show Jesus’ love in powerful ways, I would suggest, even in larger ways than grand gestures.
So, friends, through my ramblings this morning, I just encourage you to share your source of strength in this world. Share your faith in Christ, and continue to pray for others. It’s through that sharing that I believe you bring others closer to Christ 🙂 .
Have a good day, friends. Continued prayers for Martha and for the return of Emily Rea.
Isaiah 40:31
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
