Come to Me

I’m headed out the door early this morning. I have a big project I’m in the middle of at work right now (redoing our website), and well, it has my mind going more than it should be. As I sat with Father this morning and prayed for guidance and for Him to light my path as I navigate this project, I just heard, “Come to me.”

I know that through all the things this life tosses my way, the Lord is there. He has promised to always be with me and to walk alongside me. Here’s the thing, though, I have to be willing to let him do just that. I have to give all to Him and let Him show me the way.

At the end of the day, my first priority above all others is to serve Him, to let everything I do glorify the Lord. When I do that, when I let my works show His love, everything else will fall into place. I know that may sound simple, I guess in a way it really is. It’s just that satan, well, he has other ideas and loves it when we try to go it alone in this life. He loves it when we don’t have Father first in our hearts, when there are those times we just let Him take a backseat. It’s then that satan sneaks in and says, “Yes, you deserve to be first for a change.” Newsflash…not…We must always have the Lord first.

When you feel tired, when you feel unsure, when you feel overwhelmed, do what He said, “Come to me.”

My usual little bit of rambling here this morning is a brain dump for sure. I told you my mind was going more than it should be 🙂 . Today, friends, let Father guide your path. Let’s have Him first in everything that we do today, even when it may not be the popular thing to do.

Have a good day, friends, and thank you so much as always for being here. Your support through those days when I just need to brain dump, well, it’s so appreciated.

Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
