This morning, I find myself thinking about yesterday and just feeling grateful. It was Valentine’s Day, and of course, I’m so grateful for the love of my life, my husband. We exchanged cards as we always do; we’re past the point of needing to get physical gifts. We have what we need in each other 🙂 .
We had a wonderful day that was relaxing, filled with opportunities to not only see but talk with friends. We checked in with family, washed the car together, listened to our favorite tunes, enjoyed a nosh on the lanai in the beautiful evening weather, and finished with a sappy Valentine’s movie.
It was a day filled with love of each other, of family, and friends. It was how every day should be.
This morning I just give thanks to Father for the gift of yesterday and all it was. I give thanks for the gift of this morning, a dawn of a new day. And…I give thanks for the gift of His Son, Jesus, who died for all of us. A gift so precious, it makes me humble every time I think about it.
Friends, as you begin this day, give thanks for the gift that it is. Live it to the fullest, knowing that Father has given it to us 🙂 . Have a wonderful day, friends, and continued prayers for the return of sweet Emily Rea.
