This morning I rode my bike around our community. I’m usually out on the road by about 5:15 before the work traffic hits the streets. So, as you can imagine, it’s still dark, and that’s ok.
It’s about six miles around our community. It’s a big circle, and much of the ride is “inside the gate’ and not on the main street that connects two major East/West thoroughfares through Naples. Even though I have lights on my bike, it’s still pretty dark on my ride. I like it though, because on mornings like this morning, the birds are waking up and “talking” and the sky is filled with stars.
As I was riding and listening to my playlist, one of my favorite songs came on. I was taking in the stars and enjoying the peacefulness of the ride. The song was perfect for this part of my ride. The timing wasn’t lost on me, and I chose to believe that it was Father sending me a little good morning message.
I’ve posted the song in this little blog before; it was last summer when I first found it. As I sat down to write today’s little blog, I realized how appropriate this song is for our Lenten season. A time to be still, to listen to the Lord, and to deepen our relationship with Him.
So friends, I share this beautiful and timely tune with you this morning, “Be Still and Know”, by CeCe Winans. Whatever you might be going through, remember, you are not alone. Be still and listen for the Lord, as the song says, it’s His voice that calms every storm.
Have a good day, friends. Thank you, as always, for being here each day. The Lord has blessed me with all of you 🙂 .
Psalm 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
