Today is a better day. Many thanks to all of you who texted and offered prayers for my out-of-sorts day yesterday. It truly helped, and Father did as He always does: He provided the distractions and opportunities to do what He wanted me to do. So, today, I didn’t lie back down, nope, up and ahead of schedule. Well, I’m heading out to work early, we have a big event tomorrow, and lots happening today.
As I said, the Lord stepped in rather early yesterday to provide distractions to pull me out of the funk I was in. I won’t go into specifics, but I’ll just say that he provided a situation where my husband and I laughed for quite some time. Oh my, that was much needed.
Then, throughout the day, things just happened, and I was shifting gears, talking to people, lending a shoulder to listen, before I knew it, the day was almost gone. Yep, the Lord put me where I needed to be, when I needed to be there. Now, I will say, through some of my encounters, I was scratching my head. Some very odd things happened, no, I would go so far as to say weird. At one point, I remember thinking, “Are you kidding me here? You can’t make this stuff up”.
As I was wrapping up the day, I remembered it was a full moon, a blood moon to boot. Ahhh…got it, the mood, the weirdness, the oddness of the day, yep, got it. I do think there is something to be said for the happenings around a full moon, especially a lunar eclipse. Or maybe, satan just takes the opportunity to meddle a little harder, knowing that we’ll blame it on the moon and not him?
I wonder if Jesus experienced the oddness or the weirdness during His time here. Did He have to deal with full moons and lunar eclipses? Did He ever think or say to Father, “Are you kidding me here, you can’t make this stuff up?”? As I smile thinking about it, I’m guessing He did not. He was just a tad more in the know than I am.
Well, friends, just a little lightheartedness this morning, on the heels of an interesting day. Thank you again for the prayers; they were answered, in God’s way.
Have a wonderful day, and please continue to lift prayers for the return of sweet Emily Rea.
p.s. Thanks to my friend Joey Waves for catching the beautiful picture of that lunar eclipse yesterday morning here in Naples. It’s the cover of today’s little blog.
Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
