Sun and a Psalm

I have to admit, I’m glad we are back to having sunlight later in the day. It gives us time to still enjoy being outside when we get home from work. I don’t feel like the day has been scooped out from under me. Now there is that little thing about getting to work in the dark still, but that, too, shall soon pass šŸ™‚ .

As I was thinking about this little blog last night, I found myself coming back to the same thing. I woke up a few times throughout the night, and again, what came to mind was to share a Psalm. I’m not sure why, but over the past three years of writing this little blog, I’ve learned to share what the Lord puts on my heart.

So today I’m sharing Psalm 121. We read it in church recently, and I keep coming back to it. Though only eight verses, it’s a Psalm of so much hope.

Psalm 121
I lift my eyes to the hills;
from where is my help to come?

My help comes from the Lord,
the maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot be moved
and he who watches over you will not fall asleep.

Behold, he who keeps watch over Israel
shall neither slumber nor sleep;

The Lord himself watches over you;
the Lord is your shade at your right hand,

So that the sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
it is he who shall keep you safe.

The Lord shall watch over your going out and your coming in,
from this time forth for evermore.

If you are facing challenges, feeling a little down, not sure where to turn, or perhaps you’ve lost hope, let yourself read this Psalm. And…continue to read it. Let it fill you with the strength of the Lord. Let Him into the middle of whatever you may be going through.

Have a good day, friends, knowing that Father is always, always with us.
