Be Clear With Me

This morning, as I was making lunch for my husband and myself, I was thinking about what to share today in this little blog, Father’s little blog. Actually, I’ve been pondering that most of the morning as I’ve been racing around the house.

I have a new team member who started on Monday, so my days this week have been spent on training. So, I’m having to schedule time outside her work hours to get things off my plate. It’s been a bit of a juggling game, however, as a side note, I think this new addition to our team is going to work out nicely 🙂 . Now that you have a little background about my morning, you understand why I’ve been a little preoccupied and have to really focus on the message for today.

Well, as Father usually does, He stepped into the middle of my thoughts to let me know what He wanted me to share. As I was making lunch, I was trying to clear my head and stop thinking about what I was going to do when I got to the office. I was reminding myself of what was happening on our campus today, and how I wanted to make sure my new person was aware of those happenings, and make introductions to people. Again, not focusing on what I was going to share here.

We have an event today, a Lenten Quiet Morning. It’s a wonderful experience. Attendees enjoy a light breakfast, and with the help of a guest speaker/facilitator, they have time to be with the Lord and remind themselves what Lent is all about. Time is allowed for individuals to go off to quiet places, pray, read scripture, and talk with Jesus. As you can imagine, it’s a great way to clear your mind and focus on what matters most. Um…that’s when Father tapped me on the shoulder, “Clear your mind and be with me”. Ah, “Got it”, I said. That’s when the catchy title of today’s little blog came out 🙂 . He really is here among us, you know?

So, friends, the message for today, and every day, actually, is, take time to be with our Lord. Even if only for a few minutes. Get away from the hustle and bustle, the daily routine, the challenges you’re facing, clear your mind, and be with Him. Talk to Him, share with Him, and accept the love from Him. Clear your mind and open your heart that He may fill it.

Have a wonderful day, my friends, and thanks as always for letting me ramble here each day. As you are taking those few moments to be with Father, please lift prayers for the return of sweet Emily Rea.

Matthew 22:37
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind”.
