This morning, I was surprised to wake up to what looked like the San Francisco Bay. The fog was so thick that I couldn’t even see the other side of our small lake.
I made my way outside to have my morning chat with Father, and smiled as I realized how peaceful it was with just a little coolness in the air, (hence the thick fog). I sat down and started my chat with a simple, “Thank You, Father, for the peacefulness of this morning”. Some birds were cooing, others were swimming and diving in the lake to eat breakfast. I just sat and took it all in, realizing how very blessed I am to live in a place that I truly love.
As I looked out into the fog and felt the Lord’s presence with me, it made me think about the times when we go through challenges. The times when things aren’t clear, when we can’t see the other side. Even during those times, the Lord is with us, just like He was there with me this morning in the thickness of the fog. It was calm, and His presence was felt.
During those times when our lives are unsettled, or worse, when the fog has fallen upon us, we need to step back and call on Him. Take the time to ask for His protection, strength, and guidance. Even through the thickest of fogs, the ugliest challenges, He is there, and He can bring peace.
Friends, if you are going through challenges, just know that He is there. If your life is wonderful, know that He is there. He is there…always. Give thanks for the gift of His love and the calm that He brings, even through the densest of fogs.
Have a good day, friends. Continued prayers for the return of sweet Emily Rea.
