Helpless…No

We’ve all had those moments when we’ve felt helpless. Things happen that are out of our control, and we simply don’t know what to do. I think, for instance, about natural disasters. They happen, they do damage, and there is not much we can do to stop them; we can only prepare as best we can. After the damage is done, we want to do what we can to help, and sometimes, the only thing we can do is pray. However, that is one of the most powerful things we can and should do.

We’re not as helpless as we feel sometimes, friends. Our Lord Jesus told us that we would do “greater things than these”. Meaning that we would perform not just the works that He performed, but even greater. Our faith and belief in the ability to do those works is what is so important. Just like our faith and belief that prayer can work miracles is so important.

There will be challenges in this life. He never promised us easy. However, what He did promise was to be with us “to the end of the age”. And…He told us that if we believe, then we can do great works than He.

So as we face the challenges, work through the tough times, let’s dig into our faith and lean on our Lord in prayer. Pray with intention, not hesitation. Show the Lord your faith in His power. Not sure what to pray, well, you can always say His prayer, The Lord’s Prayer.

Our Father, who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom
and the power,
and the glory, forever and ever.
Amen

Friends, trust in the faith that strengthens you. Know that Jesus is right beside you as you make your way through this life. We’re not helpless, remember what Jesus told us and do great works 🙂 .

Have a good day, friends. Please continue to lift prayers for Rick. They have had to make some difficult decisions and could use prayers.

John 14:12
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.
