God Speaks

There are times when he does, you know. If we allow ourselves to be open to listening, truly listening to Him, we will hear His message to us.

This morning, I’ve been asking Father with more earnestness than usual to guide my steps and give me strength to accomplish a task today that won’t be fun, but must be done. I’ve talked it all through with Him, replaying over and over how to work through the situation. And…I’ve turned it over to Him, trusting that He will give me the words I need to help someone.

When I got back from my bike ride and sat down to read my Bible, God provided a clear message to me. The chapter I was about to read addressed the very thing that I will address today. Yes, God speaks to us and gives us strength when we need it.

Friends, the trust we place in the Lord is one of the strongest tools in our toolbox to face this thing called life. Our faith and trust in Him is what help us overcome whatever comes our way. We must have faith that when we give our lives fully to Him, He will speak to us and show us the way. And…more importantly, His will be done, not ours.

Over the next few days, the most holy days we walk as Christians, let God speak to you. Open your heart and your mind to hear His plans for you. Let Him guide you, and when He speaks, listen and do.

Have a good day, friends. Lifting prayers today for all those in need of them, and special prayers for the return of sweet Emily Rea.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.
