I found a prayer this morning that is specifically for Fridays. It’s interesting because on my walk this morning, one of the things I asked Father to do was open my heart and fill it with His love, so that I might share it more fully with others. In reading the “commentary” on this Friday prayer, the author reminds us that “no matter how challenging the week has been, God’s goodness has remained steady. Gratitude shifts the heart from frustration to trust, reminding us what blessings often hide in ordinary moments.” I think the Lord brought me to this prayer to answer my prayer this morning.
So, this morning I share this Friday prayer for a thankful heart.
Father, thank You for every blessing this week, seen and unseen. Thank You for strength, breath, provision, and grace that carried me through. Forgive me for the moments I overlooked Your goodness. Today, remind me of all You’ve done and all You continue to do. Fill my heart with deep gratitude that overflows into my words, actions, and relationships. May thankfulness restore joy and peace within me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Just a simple reminder that no matter how challenging or stressful our days and weeks may be, the Lord is with us through it all. In every situation, there is a blessing. In every situation, there is an opportunity to see the Lord. And…you know what…it’s ok to ask Him to show us those blessings.
As you begin your day, friends, remember the Lord created you in His image. You are a beautiful gift from the most loving Father. Be thankful for the gift of this life, and as the prayer says, let deep gratitude fill your heart that it overflows into your words, actions, and relationships.
Have a wonderful day, friends π .
