Time to Start Somewhere

I’ve taken pictures of sunrises and sunsets for as long as I can remember. Many times, most times I should say, I wasn’t looking for the perfect picture. I wasn’t looking for the sought-after “green flash” when the sun kisses the ocean. I’ve found some of the most glorious sunrises over a Midwest cornfield in June. A simple sunset over the desert in AZ after a long hot day.

For me, the most rewarding part of capturing these moments is seeing God at work. These gifts of incredible beauty cost us nothing. You only need to be looking East or West and be open to the magic of the reflections and colors. God uses a pretty amazing paintbrush if only we will stop and watch the strokes.

This blog is my way of saying Thank You to God for these simple gifts. I believe he is calling me to share his promise through some of the simple photos I’ve been fortunate to capture. God has blessed me incredibly and my hope is through this little blog, you’ll take a moment to reflect on how he has blessed you.

When you feel alone, when you feel overwhelmed, when you feel defeated, stop, look up and ask Father for strength, guidance, Peace. When you’re looking up, take a moment to soak in the gifts he provides.

God is with us, he will never forsake us, we need only to ask him to be with us on the journey. God wants to have a relationship with us, one that is ongoing and forever. Let him in and find the strength you need each day.

I’ll be posting blogs daily, at least with God’s help I will. Nothing fancy, just pictures with scripture to brighten a day, or maybe even provide hope and strength to someone who just needs it at that time.

I look forward to this new endeavor, not sure what God has in store, but, I needed to start somewhere. So, here we go!
