It’s so easy to feel like you’re the main juggling act in a circus. You’re dealing with work, kids’ activities, perhaps you’re caring for parents, community activities, your short staffed at work, and the list goes on… What day is it? Where do I need to be, did I forget that appointment?
The day to day, especially these last few years, can be and has been overwhelming. If you’re like me there have been days when you’ve said out loud, “Ok, I’m done”. You are simply ready to toss in the towel.
Once again, I say STOP… Take a moment, sit down in a quiet place, look up and BREATHE. Give Our Father this moment. Actually, give Our Father more than just the moment, give him the time you need to calm your anxiety, your anger, your fears.
The Lord is here and he wants us to have a long lasting and loving relationship with him. He’s not going anywhere, but we tend to think of him when times get tough. He’ll always be here. But, in addition to those times when “you’re done”, how ’bout talking to him on that Saturday morning when you’re sitting on your patio, or by the lake, or in that special coffee shop, and have a simple conversation about your dreams. You might just find the peace you’ve been seeking.
Psalm 94:19
When many cares fill my mind, your consolations cheer my soul.
