Yesterday was one crazy day. I’m still looking for that full moon because I’ve certainly been scratching my head with some of the craziness. You all know, you’ve been there, you step away from a situation and you think to yourself, “You just can’t make this stuff up”! Ya, well that was me yesterday. It just seemed like everything I touched became an issue, OY š
At the end of the day when I was literally scratching my head asking Father to clue me in on what was up, I looked over at a gift that was given to me last week by a sweet friend Deb Nash. I didn’t even take this gift out of the beautiful wrapping until I got home on Sunday. What was behind that wrapping paper was a simple wood bowl filled with cards titled “prayers and blessings”. After reading Deb’s heartfelt note, (that made me cry btw), I looked closer at the bowl and the simple instructions that accompanied it. “Instructions: Personalize a special prayer or blessing card for someone who has touched your life, then place the card in a bowl as a reminder for someone in need”. Well, ok then…
Father was reaching out yet again last night. He was saying clearly, “Um, all those folks who you dealt with today with struggles, however great or small, you know the ones you had very little patience for, they need your prayers”. God was showing me to not be frustrated, not angry, not be baffled, but instead be humbled and blessed that I was there to help them.
When the days get crazy, that’s when we need to lean into Father more readily and strongly. We need to ask him to show us his strength and show us the path to help those in need. Even those who might be frustrated.
So, as you read this, take a moment to think about those days recently when you were frustrated, exasperated, angry, or baffled with your fellow human. Then take another moment to pray for them. Ask Father to help you give compassion and caring to those who need it.
This life is so short. We are all his children and we all need to make a point of praying for each other, regardless of the situation. God loves us and he wants us to love each other, let’s not disappoint š
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
