Some Days

Do you ever have those days when you are just out of sorts? You can’t put your finger on it, but the day is just odd. Ya, well I had one of those yesterday. There are just a lot of things going on, juggling multiple projects, closing out a big event, reading up on a potential hurricane headed our way next week, you get the idea… My mind traveled a million different places throughout the day and by the end of the evening, I was exhausted, unhappy, and just plain down.

It’s funny how life tosses these curves at us. You’re strolling along and all is grand, then out of the blue Satan slides right in to throw some marbles across the floor and before you know it, you’re whoop, whooping as if you were in a bugs bunny cartoon!

Each day I come here to share some simple thoughts I have and share my love of Father. I put my two cents in where I probably shouldn’t and offer ideas of where to let God in. I guess it would be good if I took my own advice and read a few of my little blogs, because yesterday, I let Satan right through the door. OY, why do we do that? Is it because every now and then we just want to be unhappy? Well if that’s the case, we’re just dumb 🙂

It’s so much easier to just turn to Father first. Ask him for guidance, ask him for clarity and ask him to help with the uneasy feelings. I should have stopped and had a simple conversation with God yesterday. I didn’t do that until the evening, long after I’d been tap dancing on the marbles most of the day. My bad 😦

We’re human, we make mistakes and we get sucked into the crap. Today is another day, and another opportunity to do things differently. As you start your day, say a prayer to Father that he will guide you throughout the day.

Father, forgive me, AGAIN, for not coming to you, for not trusting you, and for trying to do it all myself. I know better, and I’m guessing you get pretty frustrated with me. Thank you for your incredible patience. Help me Father to seek you first in all I do today.

Psalm 118:8
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.
