God brings people into our lives for a reason. Over 35 years ago I was introduced to this guy at the company where I worked, he was the new accountant who’d been hired. He was nice, seemed to love to smile, dressed very professionally, (back in those days you actually dressed up for work, you know heals for the ladies, and guys actually wore ties), and ya was pretty cute I thought to myself 🙂 . Little did I know that just a few years later, he would become my husband and the father of my kids. Yes, we’ve been married 35 years, and have two wonderful daughters and two amazing grandchildren. I’d say Father knew what he was doing, (like he always does).

Well, today, we celebrate Bob’s birthday, the day the Lord blessed his parents with him. He was raised by incredible parents and he’s made sure to pass the best of them on to his family. He’s an incredible father and grandfather and he’s not only a loving and caring husband, but he’s also my best friend.

Yes, Father has blessed our lives with this very special man. As I did for our granddaughter last week, I say this special prayer for you today. I love you Bob with all my heart, and I hope you have an amazing day!

Watch over thy child, O Lord, as his days increase; bless and guide him wherever he may be. Strengthen him when he stands; comfort him when discouraged or sorrowful; raise him up if he fall; and in his heart may thy
peace which passeth understanding abide all the days of his life; through
