Over the last few days, I’ve already begun to see social media posts of friends prepping for Thanksgiving. It’s been fun to see pictures of families starting to make stuffing, or prepare meatballs for the traditional soup.
As I’ve shared before in this little blog, we used to host the McQueen Rally of the Clan at Thanksgiving. In its heyday it topped over 35 around the table. Since moving to Florida we spend a little time with friends, serving Thanksgiving day lunch to some special kids at Youth Haven. Then my husband and enjoy dinner later at a local restaurant.
Well, last night I started getting the itch. Just listening to friends this weekend talk about their Thanksgiving preparations has made me want to be in our kitchen instead of a restaurant for dinner π . So, after Youth Haven, it’s home to don my favorite slightly worn apron and enjoy. Even though it will just be the two of us, let the prep work begin! I’m looking forward to the smells and sounds of this Holiday. It’s always been a favorite.
I’d love to hear about your family’s Thanksgiving, what special dish will you always prepare, or what special tradition will you never miss experiencing? Let’s share them this week and fill this world with some goodness and light, (I know that’s from a future Holiday, but you know what I mean)!
Happy Monday friends, if you are traveling this week be safe, and if you are hosting, may your preparations be off to a great start π
