Guess I probably got your attention with the title of today’s little blog? No, I haven’t totally lost my mind. This was a simple statement that I made several times yesterday as I looked at the beauty around me. It was hard not to say, “Just tell me there is no God”. I know some will disagree with me, and I guess at the end of the day that’s the mission of this little blog, to bring people to know Father, the God I love and cherish.
Yesterday as we spent some time on the beach, (in jeans and sweatshirts), and awed at the beauty of the emerald-colored sea, and the beautiful sky, we talked about how only God could have created this beauty. Then last night as we walked onto the beach to see the incredibly painted fire sky, all I could do was say, “Tell me there is no God”. I have to admit, last night’s sky, the header image of this little blog this morning, (and another image below), was without a doubt one of the most beautiful I’ve been fortunate to see in my lifetime. The colors were incredible and I felt like I could reach out and touch it.
I know the debate about God’s existence has spanned centuries. I’m not here in this little blog to hash that out. For me it’s a simple process of just asking, where did that come from. If for instance, someone thinks we evolved from the ape, I simply ask, how did the ape get here? The earth was formed by a big bang, well, who made the big bang happen? At the end of the day, something bigger than any of us started this process and I choose to believe that it was Father God.
I continue to learn so much as I read my bible. The stories are, well starting to make more sense as I grow in my relationship with Father. The understanding I’m gaining helps me to appreciate more and more the beauty of this world and the love that God has for us his children.
So yes friends, on this Sunday morning, I would challenge anyone to convince me there is no God. He lives in us, and I will do my best every day to do his work so that when I meet him face to face, he is pleased.
I hope you get out and enjoy the beauty of today my friends 🙂 .
Genesis 1:1
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
