One of my favorite times of the day is early morning just as the sun is rising. It seems that no matter where you are in the country, just as the light is dawning the sky, the birds begin to “talk”. Maybe you’re by a stream or the ocean, or you’re in the woods on a mountain, regardless you’ll hear the birds. A sign I guess of a new dawn.
I like to just sit with my coffee and watch the sky brighten and really take note of what’s happening. The animals begin to rise, squirrels, ducks, otters, (yes we have those in our little lake behind us), all out for their breakfast 🙂 .
Yes the best time of the day, before the hustle and bustle begin. Time to sit and breathe, spend a little time with Father, and give thanks for blessings. We are all so busy, with so many priorities, responsibilities, and commitments, we lose sight of the simplicity of just watching the sun come up, and listening to how nature reacts to it. Why don’t we just take the time, why don’t we make the time each morning to do this? This kind of goes back to my post in this little blog on Thursday. Are we willing to take the time to be with Father and enjoy the gifts he’s provided, like the gift of a new day?
Sometimes I know, I sound like a broken record, make time to be with God, share his love, help those around you, and enjoy the gifts He provides. Truly friends, isn’t it just that simple? I think Satan wants us to believe that our relationship with Father is much more complex, he wants us to think it’s difficult and takes too much work. Father has given us free will, and with that comes responsibility. I’m willing to accept that responsibility and I live for that relationship.
So, this morning friends as you enjoy your coffee, take in the sights and the sounds around you. Step outside, yes I realize it may be freezing out there, just bundle up, smell the fresh air, listen to the birds or the water, and just breathe. Then offer a little thanks to Father for that special moment with him, he will welcome it I know 🙂 . Have a great day everyone!
2 Samuel 23:4
He dawns on them like the morning light, like the sun shining forth on a cloudless morning, like rain that makes grass to sprout from the earth.
