Every now and then you come across a song that just grabs you. You know what I’m talking about, you listen to the words and you are just moved by the message. Then when you find out the song is based on a real-life experience, you are even more moved. In today’s little blog, I wanted to share such a song.
We all face challenges in this life, we all have our ups and downs, and through it all, we all have Father. How we get through the challenges we face depends on how deep our relationship with our Father is. God never said this life would be easy, He never promised days filled with sunshine and roses. The trials we face and the situations we go through are here to bring us closer to Him. He will never leave us 🙂 .
This song, The Father, My Son, and The Holy Ghost was written and performed by Craig Morgan. Craig is a veteran of the US Army, a dedicated family man, and a well-known country singer. In 2016 he lost his son, and this song was written to help others who have dealt with this type of loss. I can’t even imagine the pain.
I wanted to share this song today, not to cause pain but to show how this man kept going because of Father. He dug even deeper into his relationship with Him and relied on Him to help each day make him stronger. That pain will never leave him, but Craig shares how he will keep going with Father’s help.
I hope it touches you as much as it did me. We are not alone my friends, God is truly, truly always with us.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
