It’s the time of the year when things get pretty crazy with me. Well that little statement could go in about 50 different directions couldn’t it? If you’ve been coming here long to read this little blog, you know that there is a very large professional education event I plan each year at this time. This year is no different and actually, it’s our largest event to date.
So, right about this time of the year, to say I’m a little stressed well, it’s kind of an understatement. My schedule is out of whack, my to-do list is miles long, and like most people, I’m looking for about six more hours in the day. I’m trying to find ’em for sure, and in the last week or so I’ve cut my workouts a little short just to get a jump on things. I haven’t cut them out mind you, however I’ve ducked out of them early.
Yesterday morning I was headed out the door of our little gym, I grabbed my keys from the key rack, slugged down some water, and said bye to Missy, the woman who works at the desk. She knows how crazy things are for me right now and she knows I’ve been doing what I can to try and stay on top of things. I told her to have a nice day as I left and she told me the same. Out the door, I went, and just as I got to my car, I hear Missy say, (she had stepped away from the desk and followed me outside), “Kim, You Got This”. It stopped me in my tracks. I thanked her for her encouragement and hopped in the car.
As I drove home, I talked with Father, thanking Him first and foremost for the simple support of Missy. She checks in with me and is always encouraging on many fronts. I also asked Father to continue to guide me through these coming weeks. There are days when it’s pretty darn overwhelming and to hear “you got this”, well it helped.
This morning as I sat down to write this little blog, I couldn’t help but hear “You Got This”, again. Only, not for me, I’m thinking about so many in this world who are suffering, who are facing truly overwhelming challenges, not just managing a big event. No, these individuals are facing destruction from fires, grieving the loss of a loved one, fighting a disease, or another life-changing event. To all of them, I want to just say, “You Got This”. Together, with the strength of Father, we can all face what may come our way. We just need to be willing to let Him in, and let Him help lift the burden, the anxiety, and the pain.
So whatever you may be going through, stop and take a moment to remind yourself, “You Got This”. Let’s do our best to remind each other of this, and to be the support others need. Have a good day my friends 🙂 .
Isaiah 30:21
And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.
