As I sit here in what will be my base office for the next nine days I realize that almost exactly two years ago this week is when my relationship with Father really started to deepen. I’m onsite for our conference next week with the final prep work for what will be a pretty awesome event. The ballroom and classrooms will be filled with about 1,200 attendees and a slew of exhibiting companies. I look forward to the hugs and screams as individuals see each other for the first time in a year. It really is difficult to explain the feeling of this event, there is a bond between this group that is pretty unbreakable, and I’m honored to be a part of it.
So back to my first comment in the little blog this morning. You see we were at this same venue two years ago. It was during that conference that I found myself watching the sunrise from my hotel room. At night I would sit and gaze at the glow of the horizon after the sun had set. Every night I found myself giving thanks to Father, out loud for all He had helped me through that day. Every morning I talked with Him out loud asking for guidance and strength to give my best to the day. That became the norm from that week on. Now, every day I start and end with my time with Him, looking at the horizon, no matter where I may be., quiet time to just plan and reflect on all God has given and can give.
I look forward to seeing old friends this next week and making new ones. I look forward to the excitement and energy that will fill this place very soon. I look forward to seeing my team, who though I talk to every day, I don’t get to physically see. I look forward to all that Father will bring in the coming days, the memories that will be made, and the love that will shared. Friends, Father has blessed me in so many ways, there are days I’m truly not sure why. My hope is that over the coming days, I can share His love, do His work, and be a child for which He is proud.
So here we go, a busy 10 days, but they will be the most fulfilling days I can imagine. Thank you Father for blessing me with so much, guiding me and helping me to be the best that I can be each and every day.
Have a great day my friends, may it be filled with the love of your family, the laughter of your friends and the blessings of Father π .
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
