Bless Your Heart

Doesn’t it seem like it’s easier to get upset about something rather than see the good in a situation? I mean why is it that when you look back on something after time has passed, you can’t really remember why you were upset? Why is it that satan can so easily creep into a slight crack in your armor and have a field day, but Father has to fight many days to remind you that He is here and much, much stronger than satan will ever be?

Well as you can imagine I’ve had a few days where ya, satan has crept into those slight cracks and has managed to rile me up. Rather than looking at the overall picture and how good things are, and how wonderful the week will be, he noodled his way into thoughts. I could almost hear him laughing and saying to Father, “See your child is so gullible, I need only to plant a little seed”.

A few years ago at this very event, we had a wonderful keynote speaker, Kelly Swanson. She was hilarious, and had such a wonderful message of using humor and storytelling to overcome so many challenges. During her presentation, she poked fun at the wonderful people in the South that have found such a polite way to handle situations that might otherwise cause angst. Just smile at that person and say “Well bless your heart”. Well, Kelly and her message came flooding into my head last night when I really needed it. I literally laughed out loud as I remembered that, and more of her presentation from 2018. Father, (and a few friends), at work reminding me of the bigger picture, reminding me of how many people will have such a wonderful experience this week.

Friends, as I’ve been saying a little bit more than usual lately, we gotta keep leaning into God, letting Him lift the ugly. Satan just lays in wait, dude is super patient, and when he sees the opening he slides. So, when things arise that might cause us angst, maybe pause and just say to yourself, “Well bless their heart”. And then, say a little prayer to Father to help guide you through the situation. Close the opening on satan, and open the door wide for Father.

Have a great day my friends, and thanks as always for your incredible support šŸ™‚ .

In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one
