Many times in this life we find ourselves in situations where we feel humbled. We find ourselves trying to understand why things happen the way they do. I guess as I write this little blog this morning, reflecting on the past week, I find myself in this place. Humbled.
Over the past few days, I’ve been hugged, squeezed, thanked, and told, “I want to be just like you”. To the woman who said she wanted to be just like me, I simply told her, “Thank you, however, you need to be you, and I’m pretty certain you are wonderful at that. God loves you just the way you are.” Humbled.
Father brings situations into our lives for a reason. In every situation, we are to learn something I’m certain. Our charge is to do just that, learn something. I’ve learned a lot this week, I’ve met amazing people for the first time and I’ve seen love and passion in the eyes of so many. I’ve seen tears and laughter, I’ve seen caring and support. I’ve seen the joy of the human spirit. Humbled.
Friends I ask that you say a prayer for our group today as we wrap up our event on this final day. As people travel home this evening and tomorrow may Father keep them safe.
Have a wonderful day all, and may you have moments of feeling humbled π
James 4:6
But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, βGod opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.β
