Who Needs It?

Now I’m guessing when you saw the title of this little blog this morning you might be thinking I’m fed up with something. I remember as a kid, my mom would comfort me if I had a bad day at school, she’d say something like, “Well who needs ’em anyway”, referring to kids who may have treated me badly. Man, I miss that lady, my mom. She was a classy one, and though she wasn’t the touchy, feely, overly affectionate mom, she was a Mother Bear when it came to loving and protecting her kids. Okay, sorry, a slight digression there this morning 🙂 .

Actually, today’s little blog is just a simple prayer for anyone who needs it. I just felt this morning as I spent a little time with Father, that He was guiding me to lift some prayer for anyone who may need it today. Sooo, here we go.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of today. Thank you for bringing us your children to the end of a busy week. As we move through today Lord, I ask that you be with us and guide us, light the path that we may walk in your ways. Father, give strength to those who feel weak, provide your healing power to those who are ill, and for those whose heart is broken, wrap your loving arms around them to mend the brokenness. I ask that you be with children as they go to school, watch over them and keep them safe, be with all who are making their way to work today, and give them clarity and energy to be their best. For all your children Lord, I just ask that you guide us and protect us and help us Father to be mindful of the needs of others. For those Lord whose needs are known only to you, I just ask that you comfort your children. Help us Father your children to rise together so that we may love one another as you love us. In your Son our Lord Jesus Christ’s Name, we pray. Amen

Friends have a great day, and take time today to notice others. You may be the only positive contact a person has today, or maybe even their only contact. Share the love of Father, and brighten the day.

1 John 4:19
We love because He first loved us.
