INSPIRASUNS

I guess that’s kind of a loaded question, isn’t it? What would happen if… I found myself thinking that when I was sitting with Father this morning. I thought about all the things going on in this world and couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if…

For instance, what would happen if each of the nations involved in any war, what would happen if those fighting simply turned around and went home? What would happen if instead of driving haphazardly through traffic only to get to the red light one car ahead of me, what would happen if you just waited one second longer and got to the light safely? What would happen if instead of walking past that piece of paper on the ground in the grocery store parking lot, what would happen if we picked it up and put it in the garbage can? What would happen if we knocked on the door of that neighbor who is always so grumpy and gave them a plate of homemade cookies? What would happen if we contacted that family member or friend we’ve been estranged from forever and just said I miss you? What would happen if we stepped away from the TV for one full day and instead spent that day with our Bibles? What would happen if everyone in the world stopped at the same time and said a prayer for peace?

As I thought about the what would happens, I realized I could find out what would happen with many of them by doing. I can make a difference in this world, in this life, and in the process do the work that Father asked me, asks all of us to do. We do have the power to make this world better. We do have the power to overcome evil and replace it with good. Instead of wondering what would happen if, wouldn’t it be nice to say, look what happened when?

Lots of questions this morning I know my friends, and maybe I helped you ask some of your own. Now we need to just answer some of them and see how much of a difference we can make. Father gives us the strength to do the right thing, He is always with us. So, let’s find out what would happen if…
