It’s one of those mornings when I’m unsure where to start this little blog. There has been a lot going on this week, it’s been busy, and I don’t feel like I’ve gotten as much done as I’d like. My mind is bouncing to all the things I need to do and as I sat with Father this morning I actually felt anxious thinking about those things. I had to really stop and give myself to the time with Him. Now how sad is that, I had to force myself to stop thinking about all the things on my to-do list so I could spend quality time with Father, hmmm.
Well friends, I guess in a way Father has given me a message for today, it’s a pretty simple one and one that I know I’ve shared here before. That message, put Father first in all you do and the rest will fall into place. So many times in this life we, (that’s a collective there to include me), we worry about work, family, money, to the point where it can consume us. You know what happens from there, the stress kicks in, satan finds an opening and boom, we’re feeling sad, depressed, bummed, whatever the emotion.
For all the days I come here to chat about God, and His incredible love for us, there are some when I find myself in that spot of feeling overwhelmed, and yes, I let satan have an upper hand. I have to say though that this little blog is a regrounding, a recentering for me each day as well. It forces me to stop and think, it forces me to put my thoughts totally on Father as I seek the message he wants me to share. It puts Him first as I start my day with you.
So today friends, stop and recenter yourself before you begin the day. Put Father first in everything, in every decision, in every action, start with Him. I truly believe that everything falls into place when God is in the center when we seek his guidance in all that we do.
Have a wonderful day everyone, and thanks for helping me refocus and recenter 🙂 .
p.s. Special thanks to my friend Joey Waves for the awesome header pic of today’s little blog. Bridge to Key West!
Matthew 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
