I enjoy the weekends. Ok, I know that’s a radical idea 🙂 . Seriously though, they are a time to slow down just a tad and enjoy moments that that business of the week doesn’t allow. For instance, I can get dinner going a little earlier and my husband and I can enjoy meals on the lanai while the sun is still shining. We have some of our best conversations out there.
Last night was one of those nights. We enjoyed a nosh and the beautifulness of the evening. It was a gorgeous day yesterday and the evening just as much. We chatted about various things, including the busy week ahead, being Holy Week. As we finished our meal we noticed the huge moon coming up. It was almost like a sunrise it was so bright. I suggested we take a walk around the community to see it firsthand.
As we made our way around the corner, the moon shined so bright it truly was like a sunrise. The brightness from that moon lighted the path as we walked and carried on our conversation. It provided the background for just a wonderful time to connect. We don’t make time enough to take walks like this and enjoy not only the beauty of the scenery, but to enjoy the simple time together. We need to do more of that.
Friends, as we begin Holy Week, the most solemn time of the year, I just encourage you to take time to connect. Most importantly take time to connect with Father. Carve out the time with Him this week. The connection we build with Him, that is the most important relationship we can have. Let us make time, especially this week to live into that relationship.
Have a wonderful day my friends 🙂 .
John 14:23
Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
