The Pillar of Prayer

If you are like me, you offer prayers to Father many times a day. Some days I offer more than others, depending on what is happening. I guess we’re all probably that way. If things are going well in our lives, then we enjoy and have that occasional chat with Him. However, when things get challenging or difficult, then those conversations, prayers, they become more frequent. I’m probably stating the obvious here, but we all know that our prayers to Father, and our time with Him should be constant. He wants to to grow closer in our relationship with Him all the time, not just in the difficult times.

Prayers to Him can be so simple. Just saying thank you for the gifts of this life is enough some days. I have found myself lately ending all of my prayers with what I deem the pillar of all prayer, The Lord’s Prayer. And…each time I say it, I find more and more meaning in it. The prayer speaks to me differently each time I hear myself say it. The words mean something more, if that makes any sense. So friends, if you are struggling with what to say to Father, if you find yourself not sure what to pray, start with the Lord’s Prayer. Take time to truly say the words and feel His presence fill you.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgives us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom,
And the power, and the Glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.

Have a good day everyone 🙂 .
