Summer Staycation

Summer vacation, ahhh how I love thee. Actually, it’s been quite a while since my husband and I have taken a full week off. Even though it is a staycation of sorts, I’m excited for the downtime, oh and the beach, fishing, and pool time don’t hurt either 🙂 .

Yes friends, I’m going to step away from the little blog during vacation next week as well. I’m hoping to totally unwind from my day-to-day activities, sleep in a little late, enjoy my morning and evening time with Father by the ocean, relax over coffee, and not have any schedule. My body and my mind need a little break and you all know, for me, being near the water is the best way to take that break.

I’ll celebrate a milestone birthday next week too, and enjoy some traditional 4th food and fireworks. Most importantly I’ll give thanks to Father for the gifts He has given me. The gift of health, (to make it this far), the incredible gift of my family, and friends, and the gift of loving me through all my faults and failings. He has gifted me in more ways than I deserve.

I’m guessing most people do this on those big birthdays, they look back on their lives. As I look back over mine I can see how I’ve grown. My relationship with God has grown even more. I’ve made mistakes, some doozies when I was younger, but I’ve learned from them. I’m not sure what Father has in store for this next phase of my life, I just know I’ll trust in Him as I make my way through it.

So, friends, I’m going to enjoy my summer staycation. I do reserve the right to possibly pop in here on the little blog, if Father guides me to do so. Otherwise, I’ll be back in a week or so.

Have a wonderful 4th of July, we live in the greatest country in the world, founded with God at its core. Let us never forget the sacrifices made to birth this nation, and the sacrifices made to keep the freedoms we enjoy.

Thank you my friends, for your support of this little blog. It too is one of the many gifts Father has given 🙂 .

p.s. Another shout out to my friend Beth Ageros for the cover photo of today’s little blog. Another gorgeous sunset from New Hampshire.

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
