I think I’ve shared here before that I like to read prayers from various places. Friends have provided me with devotionals over the years and of course I have my prayer book and Bible that I read regularly. Every now and then I’ll come across a prayer that just touches me when I need to hear it. This morning was one of those times. It’s a prayer for Thursday, but it could be for any day of course. It shares simple reminders, and just made me think, “Yes, I needed this today”. So friends, I share it here with you in hopes that it will start your day with an open heart and a desire to do Father’s work today 🙂 .

Dear Lord, As the sun rises on this Thursday morning, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude and hope. Thank You for the gift of a new day and the opportunities it brings. I seek Your presence and guidance throughout this day, knowing that You are with me every step of the way.

Grant me the wisdom to discern Your will and the strength to walk in obedience to Your word. Help me to be a source of love and encouragement to those I encounter today, spreading Your light to the world around me.

I lift up my family, friends, and all those in need of Your healing touch. May Your peace, comfort, and restoration be upon them. I pray for the unity and growth of this nation and the world, that we may be effective instruments of Your grace and truth.

Lord, as I embark on this day’s journey, I surrender my plans and desires to Your divine purpose. Let Your will be done in my life, and may I be a vessel of Your love and compassion.

Thank You, Lord, for hearing my prayers. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
