Let Them Do What They Do

I was talking with a close friend a few days ago, just catching up. It was a wonderful chat and as usual, we had to hang up way too soon. I was pulling into work and she was heading to the office as well so I didn’t get the opportunity to share with her one last thing.

Later in the day while heading home I called her back. I laughed when she answered because I could tell she was in the self-checkout line at the grocery store. I explained that I didn’t get a chance to tell her something and that I really needed some prayer. I explained what was going on and that I hadn’t shared it here in this little blog. “I tend not to share some things in the blog”, I said. To which she replied, “You ask people to pray all the time and they do just that. You need to let them do what they do, only this time for you”. Well, now that kind of said it all, didn’t it?

So, friends, I’ll share here in this little blog that we could use some prayer. I won’t go into all the specifics just that my brother is in the hospital. He’s been there for a little over a week now. I believe we are on the path to healing, however, it was a one-step forward, two-steps back kind of week. Yesterday afternoon my sister-in-law said that he was “craving steak, so that’s a good sign” 🙂 .

As my friend reminded me, I come here often to ask for prayers for others and you all are amazing at responding. As I’ve often said during those times, I believe when a choir of prayers is lifted, Father tends to turn His head with a “Woa I might better listen”. OK, maybe that’s a stretch, but you know what I mean. So yes, our family would appreciate some healing prayers for my brother. He reads this little blog each day, and I know he too will appreciate them.

Thank you, friends, I’m blessed to have such a network of loving followers of this little blog. I can’t thank you enough for the comments and love that you share with me about how it touches your life. What you may not fully understand is how you all have touched mine. Have a wonderful day everyone 🙂 .

p.s. Special thanks to my friend Joey Waves for the sunrise picture from the Picayune forest yesterday.

James 5:16
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has a great power as it is working.
