Be Prepared – Live Each Day

This morning, I was looking back on some of my previous little blogs.  We’re coming up on the second anniversary of Hurricane Ian, and I read the post that I wrote just a few days before that historic storm.  Two years later, some people are still rebuilding and not back in their original homes.

I looked back on those posts not just because of the anniversary, but also because we’re starting to see a potential storm brewing through the Caribbean and up this way.  It’s still pretty early however, there is some consistency in the data we’re looking at.  So, it’s time to review supplies, hurricane procedures, and preparations.

When I think about being prepared, I realize that much of it is just being informed.  You have to take time to research, learn, and understand the situations that might impact you.  I mean four years ago I didn’t have a clue how hurricanes were tracked or what to watch for.  I’ve learned a lot over these past years.  I’m no expert but I’m taking the time to educate myself and understand the process.

Hmmm, well that makes me think about Father.  What in the world do I mean by that, how does learning about tropical storms and hurricanes relate to God?  Well, having a relationship with Father, ya, that’s kind of a situation that impacts me I’d say, and I should be informed.  When I dig into the Bible and start to really understand the stories, I’m learning that I need to live each day with Him.  Yes, I need to be prepared for the future when Jesus comes, and the best way to do that is to live each day to the fullest, with Him front and center in all that I do.  Having Him as a best friend and learning to walk in His ways, well that is what will prepare me for meeting Him in the future.

So friends, take time, be informed, educate yourself, and be prepared.  More importantly though, live each day building your relationship with Father, because He is the one that will bring us through whatever storm may come πŸ™‚ .

Have a great day my friends, and thanks again for the prayers for my brother, he was released yesterday from the hospital. Also please, continue to lift prayers for Emily Rea and her family as the search continues for her.

1 Peter 1:13
Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

  1. Every time you refer to this blog, you call it a “little blog”, don’t sell yourself or this blog short! It is more than a “little blog”, it is you purposely taking time to shine God’s light every single day to others!! That is a BIG deal!! So you shouldn’t use the term “little blog” because that is NOT the case! ((HUGS)) and keep on with this Shining God’s light daily blog : )
