I’ve been chatting with different friends over the last few days. That’s some earth-shattering news, right? I’m guessing you have probably talked with friends as well lately 🙂 . What has been so interesting though is how so many have been feeling that Father is calling them to do things they never thought they would be doing. Their hearts are being opened to new experiences, new ways of giving of themselves. As I’ve said so many times before, Father is on the move, He is working through so many people right now.
While talking with a friend last night Father spoke directly to me. A little over a year ago I shared here in this little blog that I felt God had called me to leave the industry I had worked in for almost 40 years, to be the Parish Administrator at our church. I felt the pull, but of course, I was anxious about whether it was the right decision. I had never worked in a role like this or had the responsibility of overseeing everything from a physical plant to a pledge drive. Yes, anxiety there was indeed.
It was in speaking to my friend last night that I realized just how much I have learned over the past year. I’ve made strong relationships with our contractors, landscaping team, and so many wonderful parishioners who have so many talents. I realized last night during that conversation, Father called me to this place for just such a time as this. He placed me here to be able to help facilitate the recovery from Hurricane Milton. He has helped me grow in so many ways and He knew that my silly operations head would be able to manage this type of project.
Friends, I believe that God is touching people in different ways right now. I think that He is lighting paths for many. If you feel He is doing this for you, I just suggest that you talk with Him. Ask Him to show you which path to walk. Listen to the call, open your heart to the possibilities, and remember that we are here for just such a time as this 🙂 .
Have a good day my friends, continued prayers lifted for all those affected by Helene and Milton, and continued prayers for Emily Rea’s return.
Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.
