The lead-up to today, election day 2024, has been something for sure. We’ve heard in the media if either candidate wins the country will fall into turmoil and will cease to exist as a nation. We’ve been told if this candidate or that candidate wins there will be riots and destruction in the streets. Americans have faced backlash because their opinion doesn’t agree with someone else. Where have we come in this nation that one man and one woman have been elevated so high they are almost looked at as saviors?

Friends, there is only one savior and Jesus is His name. Perhaps, we need to spend a little more time worshipping Him than one man or one woman. This country was founded with our Heavenly Father on the throne, not a human being on the throne, and when our time on this earth is finished, we will face Him, not a political candidate.

Today is a good day to lift prayers for this nation. Every day is a good day to lift prayers for this nation, however a few extra today are warranted. This country has withstood much over our almost 250 years. Our people have sacrificed and even died for the freedoms we share. We are one nation under God, not one nation under this candidate or that candidate.

Yes, we’ve been told that regardless of the outcome of an election our nation will fall into unrest. Well, I believe we will prove those who declare this wrong. I believe that we, God’s children, should put our trust in Him to heal this nation, and show that regardless of the outcome of an election, the sun will rise tomorrow.

Yes friends, let us prove those wrong who believe the worst will happen. Let us stand strong with Christ and share the love that He has placed in our hearts. Let us make our way back to Him, let us put our trust in Him, and show Him that we can do as He asked, to love our neighbors as ourselves.

Father, today I come to you to ask that you wrap your loving arms around the United States of America and its people. Open the hearts of your people to show compassion and love. Heal our pain, remove the divide, and bring your people back together. Father, I pray that you will guide the hearts of those who have chosen to serve in government. Provide them with a sound mind to make right and clear decisions. Lord, remind us that it is You who sit on the throne over this nation. Be with us today and every day dear Father, that we might serve and please You. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.

Friends, let’s prove wrong those who believe the worst. We are Americans, we are God’s children. Today let us show the heart of Jesus in all that we do. God Bless this great Nation.
