Trust Always

Last night, after dinner, my husband and I were doing dishes, tidying up the kitchen, etc. I had washed the spoon holder that sits on the stovetop and was just drying it a bit when I noticed the wording on it. We’ve been in this rental home a few days now, and I had noticed the nice flower design on it but hadn’t really paid any attention to the actual wording. I looked closer and saw, “Trust Always, Psalm 8-9”. It made me stop for a moment and take in what I had just read. Wow, that was timely, I think.

There is so much going on these days. We’re all crazy busy, pulled in multiple directions, not sure which end is up at times, and days spent wondering how to keep our heads afloat. Then, just like last night, Father steps in with a simple message: “Trust Always.”

I sound like a broken record when I come here virtually every day and remind us, me included, to give everything to our Lord and trust that He will always be here with us. Regardless of what we are going through, whatever challenges we face, difficult decisions we must make, He is right there with us. And…just when we need it, He makes His presence known, “Trust Always”.

Friends, I don’t have a crystal ball, I don’t know what will happen tomorrow, heck, I don’t even know what will happen today, for that matter. I only know that I can’t go through this life without Jesus with me, and I’m not sure why I would try. Yes, there will be times when I seem to forget and feel alone and lost, but I’m pretty certain that He’ll keep reminding me of his presence.

So, if you are going through something in your life, know that you are not alone. Trust always, even when you think it’s not doing any good, trust in Him. Give your worries, challenges, concerns, pain, or fear to Him, and let Him give you peace that all will be well.

Have a good day, friends. Continued prayers for Western NC, California, and prayers continue as well for sweet Emily Rea’s return.

Psalm 52:8-9
But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God. I trust in the steadfast love of God forever and ever.
