Little Blog Memory Lane

If you’ve been reading this little blog for very long, you know that I began writing it in place of the book I was going to write, (and still plan to write one day). Five years ago, (yes the dreaded 2020), I began posting bible verses on social media, just once a day at first. Then I posted a verse in the morning and the evening, and over time that grew into posting a Psalm, verses from a hymn, or a passage from our prayer book. I found such comfort in all of these things during that time and I hoped by posting, others would find comfort and hope as well. Little did I know that I would touch so many with just those simple postings. I had people messaging me daily thanking me for the reminder that God is with us.

Now, five years later, here I am with this little blog. It has grown into something I never imagined it would be, and I’m grateful every day that Father helps me with the words and the message.

This morning, as I was filing some things, I came across my folder containing all my original social media posts. The folder is labeled, Inspirasuns. I couldn’t help but thumb through the pages, reading all the passages, verses, etc. I thought I would take a little walk down memory lane with you this morning and share just a few of those posts that spoke to me the most back then.

Psalm 94:19
When many cares fill my mind,
your consolations cheer my soul.

Isaiah 41:13
For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand
Saying to you, “Fear not I will help you”

2 Timothy 4:17
But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength

From the Hymn: I lie, O Lord, within Your care
I lie, O Lord, within Your care,
Awake or when I’m sleeping.
Whoever trusts in Your strong arms
Is safe within Your Keeping

Lord, You alone keep constant watch;
My restless heart You quiet,
When darkness fills the night with fear,
I will by faith defy it.

It is enough that You are near;
I need not now discover
What hidden plans You have for me,
My future’s path uncover.

Tomorrow’s road I cannot trace
Nor know what ills will meet me.
You only ask that I be still
And trust You there will greet me.

There was a consistent message back then in 2020 when I started making those posts, but that message has always been there. The message is clear, God is with us, He never forsakes us. That’s the message of this little blog, or at least I hope it is. Friends, whatever challenges come our way, He is always with us. Let His love, His strength, His spirit fill you and guide you through whatever you may be facing.

Have a wonderful day my friends, thank you for being with me along this journey.
