What Speaks to You

You all know that at the end of each little blog, I share a scripture verse. Over the past three years that I’ve been writing this little blog, I’ve come across verses that have truly spoken to me. I find myself digging into the chapter of the Bible where the verse is taken from. In a way, I suppose this little blog has helped me spend more time with my Bible. It wasn’t my reason for starting it three years ago, but I think it’s a wonderful result šŸ™‚ .

As I sat down to type this little blog this morning, I thought it would be nice to have you join in. What, you are probably wondering, how can you help write this little blog? What I mean is, I’d love for you to share your favorite scripture verse in the comments. Hey, if you can’t choose your favorite, list several, the more the better šŸ™‚ .

With all of the craziness in the world, let’s stop and take some time to dig into the word of our Lord. When it’s difficult to know what to believe anymore, let’s go to the real truth that can and should refocus us each day.

So, what is your favorite verse? I have several, and I’ll share them here:

Of course, the most recognized verse, John 3:16, however, I think John 3:17 can be even more powerful.  For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Philippians 4:13 is one that is powerful.  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

A verse that I lean on many times comes from Isaiah. A message that God is always with me, with us.  Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

So friends, take just a little time today to share your favorite verse, or verses. I’d love to hear what message from God brings you comfort and strength.

Have a good day friends, and thanks so much for always being here šŸ™‚ .

Romans 8:38-39 NIV – For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

‘I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you’ (Acts 26:16 NKJV).I have always – since I first heard / read the vows of marriage, wondered about them.
