Last night, a friend of mine gave me a little figurine of Jesus. Even in His little stature, I could feel the comfort of Him being in my hand. I guess it sounds a little weird, but I truly mean it. When you look at his little face and into His eyes, you can feel His strength.
I was thinking about this man, pondering how, in his life, he was incredibly strong. He was an amazing warrior, yet never carried a weapon, unless of course you count the whip that He masterfully wielded in the temple. His presence, His very being, was enough to calm seas, drive out demons, heal the sick, feed the multitudes, and raise the dead.
As I look at my tiny Jesus, I know that His very being is all I need to overcome whatever challenges come my way. So, I’ll be carrying him around in my pocket over the next few days, as a reminder that He is with me, He is always with me.
Friends, sometimes it’s good to have a physical reminder that our Lord is there with us. Maybe it’s the cross you wear around your neck, maybe it’s a rosary you hold each day, maybe it’s a tiny figurine of Jesus that keeps His presence close to you. Whatever it may be, I just encourage you to hold tight to it, knowing that He is right there with you, every step of the way.
Thank you, Jesus, for being next to me, and thank you, Father, for the gift of Your Son.
Have a good day, friends!
Matthew 28:20
Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
