Yesterday, I came here to this little blog to ask for prayer. You always come through when I need you. Over the years, we’ve prayed for babies, we’ve prayed for those about to go home to the Lord, we’ve prayed for victims of natural disasters, and we continue to pray for the return of sweet Emily Rea.
Yesterday, though, I asked for prayers for healing for me. As always, you all lifted prayers, and I felt the Lord moving through those prayers. The pain I’ve been feeling in my shoulder and neck has diminished significantly. Though not totally gone, there is a noticeable difference. Please, keep those prayers comin’ 🙂 .
I think part of healing, and having any prayer answered, is trusting in the Lord to answer those prayers. I think as the receiver, you have to be open to accepting the prayers and believe that Father hears those prayers. I think you have to be willing to offer whatever is troubling you to Him. And…when others are praying for you, you have to be willing to accept those prayers and acknowledge them to Father. Let Him know that others are praying for you. Thank Him for the gift of the blessing of those who care.
It’s a full circle, you know. The offering of prayer, the acknowledgement of prayer, the acceptance of prayer, and finally, the giving it all to our Lord to handle the situation at hand. Yes, my friends, we must not only offer and accept prayer, but we must also trust in prayer.
I thank you so much for the phone calls, texts, comments here on this little blog, and private messages yesterday, offering prayer for healing. I’ll continue to take those as healing continues. This little community blesses me, and I thank Father for the gift of you all.
Have a wonderful day, everyone!
Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
