Newsflash…we’re not all perfect. Just in case you were wondering if it was just you, or if others make mistakes too. Well, breathe a sigh of relief because we’re all in the boat together. We are humans; we make mistakes, sometimes doozies. We do silly things that sometimes make no sense. We hurt those we care about and love. Yes, friends, we are not perfect.
This little blog this morning isn’t about making mistakes. We all know that will happen. This morning, I just want to encourage you to give grace to those who have made mistakes. Put yourself in others’ shoes, ask questions, share support, ask Father for guidance, and then forgive and move forward.
I encourage you as well to give grace to yourself. I mentioned this in a little blog earlier this week. When you feel overwhelmed, when you’ve made a mistake, when you’ve said the wrong thing, or haven’t said anything, give yourself some grace. Spend time with our Lord to ask for His forgiveness and guidance, and if needed, ask for forgiveness from others. Then, move forward.
At the end of the day, we are all in this world for a short time. We are here together, and what a gift Father has given us to be together. So, give grace to each other, and to yourself, knowing that the Lord, well, He gives us grace each and every day.
Have a good day, friends. Prayers this morning for our sweet Emily Rea and her return.
2 Corinthians 8:7
But as you excel in everything-in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you-see that you excel in this act of grace also.
