I walked my route again this morning, only unlike yesterday, the golf club was totally lit up. The lights were on everywhere. I noticed workers inside the club, in the cart barn, and people pulling into the parking lot as I walked through. My goodness, it wasn’t even 5:30 a.m. yet.
As I walked and talked with Father, I said, “Every day people just doing their jobs”. I went on to ask Him to bless all of His children who are just doing their part, behind the scenes, to make this country work.
As I finished that prayer and thought about those people working, I heard, “Work for Me, do My work.” Hmm…got it.
We all spend countless hours working to provide for our families. We do everything from greeting customers with morning coffee to prepping golf carts in a cart barn to performing surgery to heal a sick patient, and all things in between. Every day people just doing their jobs. But…what if we looked at what we do as doing God’s work?
Regardless of our job, regardless of the type of work we’re in, if we do our best to share the Lord in all that we do, then we are working for Him. A simple good morning to a patient or customer, saying thank you to a co-worker, doing the right thing even when no one is looking, that’s working for Him.
I know we all face challenging days at work. Things get complicated sometimes because people are involved, and let’s face it, we aren’t perfect π . However, keep Jesus first, let Him have the challenge, and let Him help you overcome it. Work for Him and let Him guide you through. I can’t think of a better boss to have π .
As you head off to work today, friends, just let Him know, “Today, Lord, I’m working for You!”
Have a good day, everyone. Continued prayers for the return of sweet Emily Rea.
