A Daily Choice

Our days are filled with choices. Just think about everything you choose each day. What to wear, what to eat, which route to take to work, and if you’re in Naples, do I use a turn signal or not, LOL! The choices we make every day, well, in many cases they are too many to count.

We have the freedom to make choices every day. We are blessed in that regard. We’re blessed to live in a country where the freedom to choose has been fought for and died for by men and women for decades.

We’re blessed that our Lord has given us the freedom to choose Him every day as well. He does not force us to follow Him. He does not demand that we bow down and worship Him. Every day, He gives us the choice to open our hearts to Him, knowing that when we do, we will be filled beyond measure. He knows that if we choose to follow him, our loyalty to Him will be far greater than if we were forced against our will to do so.

Yes, we are blessed by the freedoms that we’ve been given. However, with those freedoms comes responsibility. We must live with the choices we make. If you’re like me, well, over the course of this life, ya, I’ve made some not so good choices. However, we’re allowed to right our path and choose differently next time. Father gives us the opportunity every day to come to Him and ask that He be with us and guide us. And…if we falter away from Him, He readily takes us back when we ask for forgiveness.

This morning, as I thought about our upcoming Memorial Day Holiday, I couldn’t help but think about the freedom and choices we are granted every day. Let’s choose wisely, friends, knowing that the choices we make, well…they matter.

Have a good day, my friends. Continue prayers for the return of Emily Rea, and for my brother, who thankfully is on the mend šŸ™‚ .

1 Peter 2:16
Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.
