Sunrise

If you’ve been reading this blog for very long, you know that it began with a simple vision of sharing a bible verse and a picture of a sunrise or sunset. Well, I still do that in every blog, but of course, it has grown into something more than I ever dreamed. A community of individuals who support each other, share their love of Jesus, and seek to grow every day in His love.

This morning, as I began my walk, I noticed the dawn just breaking. I had a feeling that if I timed things right, I would catch a beautiful sky just by the club. My hunch was correct. Just as I made my way around the club, I could see the pinks and blues coming out before the sun. Then, as I neared home on the backside of my walk, the sky was painted incredible colors as the sun made its way over the clouds.

As I walked, I recalled the days when I made a point to look for opportunities to catch the sunrise or sunset. We were fortunate to live in a place up north where I could see both easily each day. It’s a little more difficult to catch them now unless I plan for it. Catching those sunrises and sunsets is what led me to this little blog. I would look at those pictures and just thank Father for the gift of such beauty. Then, of course, I wanted to share them with others. A book was my plan, and still is, but for now, this little blog is just fine.

This morning, I made a point of accepting this simple gift of the gorgeous sunrise. I thanked Father for the gift and asked Him to help me, yet again, prioritize things to enjoy the beauty of His creation. Then, I thanked Him for leading me here, to share with you.

Friends, take time to enjoy the gift of a sunrise or a sunset. Stop and notice the beauty around you; it costs nothing, and yet it’s priceless.

Have a wonderful day, and as always, thank you for your support and encouragement. Oh, and here are some glimpses into our sunrise here in SW Florida this morning 🙂 .

Ecclesiastes 11:7
Light is sweet, and it is pleasant for the eyes to see the sun.
