This week has been a whirlwind. Maybe it’s the three-day weekend that has thrown me off, but alas, it is Friday already 🙂 . As I was preparing for this little blog this morning, oh, and by the way, I changed things up a bit so I can ride my bike watching the sun come up. See, I can take my own advice from yesterday 🙂 . Anyway, as I was talking with Father about what to write today, I felt the words “be thankful”. Even through the challenges and difficulties, be thankful.
So, friends, I share a Friday prayer that I read this morning, which reminded me to be thankful in everything that happens and in everything that I do.
Gracious Father, the Giver of all good gifts, I bow before You this Friday, my heart brimming with gratitude for this week’s blessings. As I prepare to usher in the weekend, I seek Your continued guidance and favor. Thank you, Lord, for your Friday blessings in my life.
Lord Jesus, You have faithfully guided me through the trials and triumphs of the past days. I acknowledge Your loving hand in every accomplishment, Your comforting presence in every challenge. I thank You for the gift of work, for the opportunities to learn and grow, and for the strength to carry out my duties.
As I wind down from the week’s labor, I pray for a peaceful and restful weekend. Bless my family and my friends. Let our time together be filled with joy, laughter, and unity. Let us use this time to rest, reflect, and rejuvenate, remembering always to give thanks for Your bountiful blessings.
May Your blessings overflow, Lord, not just for me, but for those around me. Help me to be a blessing to others, reflecting Your love and grace. And, as I step into the weekend, I seek Your peace, protection, and provision. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
It’s easy to get wrapped up in the day-to-day and not see the blessings in that craziness. But, you know what, those blessings are there. As the prayer says, “I acknowledge Your loving hand in every accomplishment, Your comforting presence in every challenge“. Let’s always remember the Lord’s presence in our lives. He is there, through everything we do.
Have a great day, friends. I ask for your continued prayers for my brother, and please continue to lift prayers for the return of sweet Emily Rea.
John 16:33
I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
