God’s Work

Yesterday I spent time out on the water. As I mentioned in the little blog yesterday morning, the weather forecast wasn’t the greatest, but that was ok. For once, they were pretty accurate; it drizzled most of the day. You know what, that was ok, it was so peaceful, I didn’t see anyone for hours, enjoyed the wildlife, fished, and played peek-a-boo with the dolphins.

While I was playing in the rain, I thought about this little blog. It’s hard to believe it’s been almost four years since I wrote the first post. I thought about the way it has changed. I thought about friends who have reached out and asked for prayer, and how all of you so graciously answer that call. I thought about the recipients of those prayers, and how so many were answered. I thought about the many, many messages I get from you in support of this little community.

Last night, a friend messaged me. Last year, I asked you all to pray for her baby grandson, Briggs, who was born with some serious health issues. She sent me a picture and a message that Briggs is now six months old, and she and her husband met him face to face for the first time. The picture was beautiful, and little Briggs, well, he is growing to be a strapping young boy. Just one of the many that you all have prayed for over these four years.

This morning, I just say thank you. Thank you, Father, for the gift of this little community. For Your children who come together every day to support each other. Thank you, friends, for being here and being so willing to lift prayers for those you don’t even know. You may not think so, but you are doing the Lord’s work.

Have a good day, friends, and thank you again for all you do šŸ™‚ .

James 5:16
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
