God’s Beauty

Yesterday I headed out early to spend some time on the water. I have to admit the weather was beautiful. The Florida humidity took a bit of a break, the sky had the most amazing billowy clouds, yes, it was just a beautiful day.

I puttered along, casting my fishing line here and there back in the canals off our 10,000 islands. As I sat and just looked around, I noticed at one point what I thought was a rock, that was, until it moved. No, it wasn’t a rock, it was the snout of a manatee. I made my way over slowly, and sure enough, there he was just floating along in the morning sun. I came across a few of them yesterday, sea cows we call them πŸ™‚ .

Along with those sea cows, I played with a dolphin. He liked the bubbles from my jetski. He followed me around in circles, then headed off, I’m guessing for breakfast.

As I sat down to write this little blog and thought about yesterday and all of God’s creations, I’m still amazed at how perfect it all is. He created such beauty for us. When we stop to enjoy that simple beauty, I don’t know about you, but it brings me such a sense of calmness. It makes me think about Adam and Eve in the Garden, every day they enjoyed the simple beauty.

I’ve come here many times in this little blog to encourage everyone to take time to enjoy God’s beauty. Whether your happy place is the salt water, the mountains, the southwest, or the plains of the prairies, take time to enjoy what He has given. Oh, and don’t forget to catch the sunrises and sunsets, wherever you are. As we enjoy these places, let’s do our best to take care of them so they are here for future generations to enjoy.

Have a wonderful day, friends, get outside and enjoy God’s beauty. Thanks again for the prayers for my brother; he’s home now. Continued prayers for the return of sweet Emily Rea.

Psalm 95:4-5
In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
