Be Vulnerable

What does it take to let Him in? Well, now that’s a pretty heavy question for this little blog. After spending time with Father last night, I realized there are times when I don’t share all I should with Him. I’m not sure why, given that He knows everything anyway. He knows what I’m thinking and feeling, He knows what I’ve done, or not done, and He knows what I’m considering doing even before I do.

Having a deep relationship with the Lord requires being vulnerable. It calls us to share everything and to let go of hurt, anger, pain, and any other feelings or emotions we have. That’s not easy to do for many reasons. Maybe we’re ashamed, embarrassed, or we feel that He just won’t be able to forgive us. Sometimes it’s difficult to understand how our Lord can be so forgiving and so loving when we don’t behave the best.

Father loves us so much that He came to us in the form of His Son. He came to live in this world and face the challenges we face. He came to show us that even when faced with those challenges, we can live without sin. He knows firsthand what we are going through, and the best part is, He is here to lift us when we fall.

The more open we are with the Lord, the more vulnerable we let ourselves be, the deeper our relationship becomes. Let Him have all the “stuff” and then ask for forgiveness. Then…let go of the past and move forward. As I’ve been saying in my prayers to Father, “Lord, please help me to be better today than I was yesterday”.

We’re human, newsflash, that means we’re not perfect. However, we can consciously strive to do the right thing. So, let’s open ourselves up, let Him in, and grow deeper in the love only He can give. Today, let’s be better than we were yesterday.

Have a good day, friends, thanks as always for being here to read my ramblings πŸ™‚ .
